How to get to Bulgaria?

Driving to Bulgaria:
Entry in Bulgaria is possible from any check point. Your national driving license is valid. Car insurance is needed. The main roads in Bulgaria are marked and written in Cyrillic and Latin alphabet.

By train:
Bulgaria is part of some intercontinental railroads, so there are many trains from most European capitals, including Athens, Budapest, and Vienna.

Flying to Sofia:
Nearly all major European airlines and airports offer flights to Sofia.

How to get from Sofia to Villa Park Borovets?
From Sofia you can choose to travel to Borovets either by bus or by car.

By bus:
Every 30 minutes, a bus/minibus departs for Samokov from the South Bus Station (Avtogara Yug). In about an hour the bus arrives at Samokov Bus Station. There you can take a van to Borovets every 15 minutes.

By car:
Borovets is easily accessible by first class road. Distance from Sofia airport to Borovets is 73 km, and take about 90 minutes. You can rent a car from the airport, we recommend to make a reservation before you arrive.  

Directions:

From Sofia airport take the international road E80 (Tsarigradsko Shosse) direction Plovdiv. Turn right when you see Borovets sign. You will pass through Gorublyane (suburb of Sofia) and continue to Pancharevo Lake following national road 82 to Samokov. In Samokov turn right for Borovets and follow the main road.
If you choose to travel by car, you have to take one of the following routes, which are marked on the map:

Sofia - Borovets: Sofia – Gorublyane – Pancharevo – Samokov – Borovets.

Plovdiv - Borovets: Plovdiv - Trakia Highway - Kostenets - Raduil - Borovets
