Cross-country skiing is a major part of the Winter Olympics, this is the discipline with the largest number of competitions, included in the program of the Olympics. Additional slopes with a maximum length of 35 kilometers are surrounded by tall pine forests and beautiful nature. The trails are designed according to the International Ski Federation, with a minimum width of 6 meters.

Slopes in Borovets offer excellent opportunities for biathlon, a winter sport that combines skiing with shooting, in which all ski techniques are allowed. In 1993 Borovets hosted the World Biathlon Championship.

Ski jumping is a winter Olympic sport in which skiers go down a take-off ramp, jump and attempt to land as far as possible down the hill below. In ski center Central Borovets is situated ski jumping platform, high 70 meters, which provides an excellent opportunity to conduct competitions.
